Pyong Gap Min


Former Director, Research Center for Korean Community, Queens College

Pyong Gap Min was Distinguished Professor of Queens College and Graduate Center of CUNY and the Director of Research Center for Korean Community at Queens College before retirement in 2024.

He is the author of several books including Korean “Comfort Women”. Military Brothels, Brutality, and the Redress Movement, and Transnational Cultural Flow from Home: Korean Community in Greater New York.

Professor Min completed his college education at Seoul University. He completed two doctoral programs, one in educational philosophy and the other in sociology, both at Georgia State University.
