Paul Seo
Councilmember, Rancho Palos Verdes City Council
Paul Seo is a husband, father, U.S. Army veteran, and Deputy Attorney General who serves as Mayor Pro Tem of Rancho Palos Verdes.
Raised by hardworking immigrant parents, Paul learned the value of selfless service and has dedicated his career to delivering results that lift up others and improve lives. Driven to serve his country, Paul went to the United States Military Academy at West Point and served as a U.S. Army officer overseas. After completing his service with the rank of Captain, he earned a law degree from Loyola Law School and went to work as a Deputy District Attorney in LA County before being asked to serve as a Deputy Attorney General for the State of California.
Paul works with a team to investigate and prosecute political corruption, corporate fraud, and other white-collar crimes, including prosecuting the oil company responsible for the 2021 Huntington Beach oil spill. Paul now serves as Mayor Pro Tem in Rancho Palos Verdes while also serving in leadership for the Los Angeles County Democratic Party. He and his wife, Hannah, are proud parents of two children.
