Legislative Assistant, U.S. Representative Lizzie Fletcher
Kevin Koo is a Legislative Assistant for U.S. Congresswoman Lizzie Fletcher. In his role, he advises the Congresswoman on key policy issues, including immigration, international affairs, education, and AANHPI issues.
Kevin is dedicated to building a pipeline for more Korean Americans to pursue a role in public service and is committed to advancing equitable, compassionate policymaking. He also serves as House Chair for the Congressional Korean American Staff Association, a bipartisan, bicameral congressional staff organization dedicated to expanding Korean American representation on Capitol Hill.
Previously, Kevin served as Community Engagement Manager for the Council of Korean Americans, where he worked to advance the national voice and influence of the Korean American community.
Kevin is also a recipient of the Asian Pacific American Institute for Congressional Studies Congressional Fellowship and served as Director of Advocacy for the East Coast Asian American Student Union, which holds the largest Asian American student conference in the country.
Born and raised in Queens, New York, Kevin received his B.S. in biochemistry from Tufts University and now lives in Arlington, Virginia with his partner and two dogs.
