Betty Lieu
Board Member, Torrance Unified School District
Betty Chim Lieu is in her seventh year as a Torrance Unified School District Board Member. Torrance has 34 schools and is located in the South Bay of Los Angeles.
She is also an appointed California Advisory Commissioner on Special Education, working with the California Governor, Legislature, and the Department of Education on various special education policies.
Previously, Betty was a felony prosecutor and Deputy Attorney General for the California Department of Justice. She is also a former Board Director to the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association.
Betty is married to Congressman Ted Lieu.
